One of the many things I’m looking forward to at the 48th Annual ONS Congress in San Antonio, TX, is networking with other oncology nurses. What’s even better is that while we’re all connecting and learning about new and exciting areas in oncology nursing, attendees can earn up to 50 nursing continuing professional development (NCPD) contact hours.*

Contact hours are available for ONS Congress’s Intensive and Power sessions that discuss hot topics in oncology nursing and the Educational sessions that focus on individual oncology specialties or practice levels. Educational sessions feature five learning tracks so you can personalize your schedule and find the content best suited to your level of expertise: Advanced Practice, Clinical Practice, Leadership/Management/Education, Radiation, and Research.

If you miss a session while in San Antonio or wish to review your favorites again at home, select ONS Congress Educational sessions are also offered as recorded sessions. As a full ONS Congress attendee, you can access those sessions in an on-demand format from May 23–June 19, 2023, allowing you to earn even more NCPD contact hours at your convenience.

To earn your NCPD contact hours, you must complete your conference evaluation, which you can find in the ONS Congress mobile app closer to April 26 as well as at courses.ons.org. Evaluations for the in-person conference are due by 11:59 pm ET on May 18, 2023. Recorded sessions require a separate evaluation; more details about how to access and submission deadlines for the recorded session evaluation will be available closer to the on-demand window.

We cannot wait to see you in San Antonio for ONS Congress. The 2023 ONS Congress Planning Team has created an outstanding conference with priceless information on current trends and issues that oncology nurses face in today’s healthcare environment. What a fun way to obtain contact hours and meet new friends! Not yet registered for ONS Congress? Register by March 9 to save hundreds through early-bird pricing.

*Approximately 24.5 contact hours are available for attending ONS Congress sessions, with approximately 32 additional contact hours available for viewing poster presentations on your own time. Exact NCPD amounts will vary based on attendee activity. Total available NCPD contact hours are subject to change.
