The Essentials in Advanced Practice Symptom Management course was created to highlight the identification, evaluation, and management of selected side effects and symptoms related to cancer and its treatment. This course is designed for new to practice advanced practice providers, recent graduates of APP academic programs, and APPs of other specialties who take care of patients with cancer. It is intended to meet the educational needs of advanced practice providers (nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, and/or clinical nurse specialists) in all clinical settings with limited or no prior oncology experience or knowledge and who are interested in identifying advanced concepts in oncology care. Experienced APPs may have interest in taking this course as a refresher in the core concepts of advanced practice cancer care.
This innovative course offering provides a learner-centric designed course allows for exploration and discovery of critical content, interactive knowledge checks throughout the course, and application of content into case studies to enforce key concepts and objectives.
