Complete Decongestive Therapy

Complete decongestive therapy (CDT) is a lymphedema treatment program that includes manual lymph drainage (MLD), compression techniques, exercise, and self-care training. It is comprised of an initial reductive (intensive) phase (phase I) followed by an ongoing, individualized maintenance phase (phase II). Components include MLD, multilayer short-stretch compression bandaging, remedial exercise, skin care, education in self-management, and elastic compression garments.

Colony-Stimulating Factors Including Biosimilars for At-Risk Patients

Granulocyte–colony-stimulating factors (G-CSF), granulocyte–macrophage-stimulating factors (GM-CSF) and colony-stimulating factor (CSF) biosimilars are substances that bind to hematopoietic stem cells, activating them to proliferate and differentiate into granulocytes and macrophages—the specific cell type of interest. CSFs administered systemically have been evaluated and recommended for patients with cancer for prevention of infection and febrile neutropenia (FN). CSFs may be used for primary or secondary prophylaxis.

Colony Stimulating Factors By Intravenous Rather Than Subcutaneous Route

Colony-stimulating factors given systemically are generally administered via subcutaneous injection. Administration by an intravenous route was examined for its effects on the prevention of infection compared to subcutaneous administration.

Colony Stimulating Factors: GCSF & GMCSF Mouth Rinse

Granulocyte colony-stimulating factors (G-CSF) and granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factors (GM-CSF) are substances that bind to hemopoietic stem cells, activating them to proliferate and differentiate into granulocytes and macrophages—the specific cell type of interest. Colony-stimulating factors administered in an oral rinse have been evaluated for effect to prevent and manage mucositis.

Colloidal Oatmeal Lotion

Colloidal oatmeal is a product comprising finely ground oats. Oatmeal contains flavonoids and appears to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that may be beneficial in a variety of dermatologic conditions. Colloidal oatmeal lotion was evaluated in patients with cancer for the prevention and management of skin effects.

Colchicine Mouthwash

Colchicine can be extracted from autumn crocus, also known as meadow saffron. It has anti-inflammatory properties and also has been used for its emetic and cathartic effects. It inhibits cell mitosis. Colchicine is primarily used for gout. This has been evaluated in the form of a mouthwash for treatment of mucositis.

Colchicine

Colchicine decreases colonic transit times and increases the frequency of bowel movements more than four weeks after administration. Colchicinehas been studied in chronic functional constipation.

Cognitive Training - Individual

Cognitive training is any intervention aimed at improving, maintaining, or restoring mental function through the repeated and structured practice of tasks which pose an inherent problem or mental challenge (Sitzer, Twamley, & Jeste, 2006). Individual cognitive training is provided to patients in a one-on-one approach.

Cognitive Training - Group

Cognitive training is any intervention aimed at improving, maintaining, or restoring mental function through the repeated and structured practice of tasks which pose an inherent problem or mental challenge. Group cognitive training is provided to individuals in a group setting.
